Beautifully restored 1886 Queen Anne Victorian “Painted Lady”
Buy it as a single family home and if you choose to re-certify, it is an excellent established opportunity for part-time income.
Three gorgeous fireplaces include original tiles surrounding remote controlled gas inserts resembling coal, making this a cozy destination. Central heating and air conditioning adds comfort year round.
Four bedrooms allow potential for booking one or two on the second floor for guests.
A small bedroom is on the first floor and the largest one is on the third floor.
A queen size Select Comfort Sleep Number® individually controlled sofa bed on the third floor works well.
It is a firm, comfortable sofa for gazing at the view through the large top floor window.
The master suite on the second floor includes a bedroom with a fireplace and parlour room with access to the private parade porch and overlooks the front garden.
The second floor laundry room with front loading machines is very convenient.
The full bath on the second floor includes a Jacuzzi® whirlpool Amiga® bathtub, separate multi-jet shower, and vessel sink. The first floor bath has heated floor tiles, small shower, and vessel sink.
The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances, including double oven, microwave range hood, NSF approved dishwasher, huge double door refrigerator with filtered water and ice maker. The multiple new oak cabinets provide wonderful storage and coordinate with the restored woodwork throughout the home.
The dining room and stairway have original cut glass windows that produce rainbows on sunny days.
The living room has bay windows overlooking the front garden.
The wide front entry sidewalk is lined with cobblestone.
The backyard is about ½ garden and ½ cobblestone patio, which has accommodated many parties.
The 2½ car garage with second floor storage includes ample lighting and outlets.
The paved alley accesses the large garage doorway and adjacent cement pad for additional parking.
This Bed & Breakfast is featured on multiple websites and gets referrals from Hamline University and Macalester College, with an established reputation, telephone number, and domain name.
We really love this house and wish we could move it with us to our next location for a bed & breakfast on the Big Island of Hawaii, but we can’t.
